Want to make a million dollars in a year?
Do the math so you can know how to proceed.
Earning a million dollars per year means bringing in $2,740 a day … every day … for 365 days.
That translates to earning $115 an hour, 24 hours a day.
Or if you break it down to an 8 hour work day, that means you need to be bringing in $342.50 an hour, 8 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Those are just the real numbers based on math.
So … start figuring out how to spend your time at a level that will actually get you to where you want to be.
If that’s not a million dollars a year, do the math for whatever your goal is.
Want to make $100K per year? That’s $274 per day.
Or …
$12 an hour, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week will get you there.
Or $34.25 per hour based on an 8 hour day. (That is 7 days a week for 365 days).
Know the math. You’ll get a better understanding of why you are where you are. Then you can make better decisions about how you spend your time.
This is one reason I love the leverage available to us in network marketing. Using leverage and systems, you can realistically create a scenario that pays you $12 an hour (or more) every single hour. Leverage simply lets you earn while you are sleeping.
What if you can leverage your time and systems to generate just $6 an hour every single hour of every day?
That’s $144 coming in every single day. Over the course of a year, that translates to $52,560 per year. That’s more than the average annual income of the average American family in the US.
So start there. Learn to leverage your time. Learn to manage your time. During your waking hours, spend time learning how to create residual income streams that flow to you 24 hours a day. This will require you to examine how you spend your waking hours. Your job takes up about 8 to 10 hours per day. That’s not going to change until you reach your other goals. Identify ways you are currently spending those other hours to see what can be changed. Maybe less TV. Maybe less time at the bar. Maybe waking up an hour earlier. Spend this time creating residual income through your own home based business.
Once you are able to generate $6 an hour every hour, work on getting that income level to $10 an hour every hour. That translates to $87,600 annually. Then bump it to $12 an hour. That takes you beyond $100,000 per year.
The first step is the mental shift that breaks you out of that mindset that says punching a clock is the only way to earn. Recognize that you CAN (and people do) generate income without reporting to a boss, punching a time-clock, etc…
Understand the math and get started while you may still have that job. The day may come where you no longer have it. Or, better yet, the day may come where you no longer need it!
Let’s break down the math for what you can shoot for based on earning money 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. I just don’t believe in making money for only 1/3 of the day when you can create income that happens 24 hours per day.
Want to make $1,000,000 per year?
Each hour, you need to be bringing in $114.16.
That’s 42,739.73 per day.
That’s $19,230.77 every week.
That’s $83,333.33 every month.
Want to make $250,000 per year?
Each hour, you need to be bringing in $28.54.
That’s $684,93 per day.
That’s $4,807.69 per week.
That’s $20,833.33 per month.
Want to make $100,000 per year?
Each hour, you need to be bringing in $11.42.
That’s $273.97 per day.
That’s $1,923.08 per week.
That’s $8,333.33 per month.
Want to make $50,000 per year?
Each hour, you need to be bringing in $5.71.
That’s $136.99 per day.
That’s $961.54 per week.
That’s $4,166.67 per month.
Spend some time looking at these numbers. Let your mind get wrapped around the reality of the math and then begin building at whatever level is easy for you to believe in and go after. Once you reach that first goal, you can start working on that next level!
Really Want To Be a Millionaire? Do The M
This is so true. Very very few people can start at the very top, in this case $1,000,000 per year. However, with time, motivation and the desire to learn you very well can attain that. It is all about setting goals to attain something small first then move up from there, working at that goal consistently and passionately and then once you have achieved that goal work to maintain that goal if you are satisfied or create a new goal.
